Obituary (from newspaper of 9 Dec. 1936): CLAYTON---Clarence Ingerson, 57, died at 7:40 Tuesday evening at his home on James St. He suffered a stroke at 10 Tuesday morning which was the cause of his death.
He was born at St. Lawrence Aug. 22, 1879, a son of Horace and Martha Ingerson. During his boyhood he attended school in St. Lawrence. He was married in 1899 to Luella Comins, who died in 1900. He was married to Ida L. Kellogg on Dec.
14, 1902.Mr. Ingerson has been a prominent contractor and builder in the vicinity of Clayton for many years. He is a member of the I.O.O.F. Lodge.
He is survived by his widow; two sons, Earl and Stanley of Clayton; one sister, Cora Allen, town of Orleans; three grandchildren, Gerald, Leo, and Richard Ingerson, and several nieces.
The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 2 at the home with the Rev. Royal B. Fishbeck officiating. Burial will be made in the St. Lawrence Cemetery.

July 7.A prayer service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Cummings Funeral Home, followed by a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Church with the Rev. Euclid A. Marier, pastor of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Philadelphia, officiating.
Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the Clayton Volunteer Ambulance Fund or Hospice of Jefferson County Inc., 714 Washington St., Watertown.
Surviving are his wife, Teresa "Dot"; a daughter, Mrs. Russell K. (Lonna M.) Coufal, Columbia, S.C.; two stepsons, Melvin H. Bearup and Gerald A. Bearup, both of Clayton; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Gordon (Ellen) Stiefel, Clayton; two grandsons;
nine step-grandchildren; a step-great-grandson; his mother, Beulah Ingerson, Clayton; two sisters, Elnora Durgin, Philadelphia, and Adeala "Dee" Collins, Clayton; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.A stepson, Francis R. Bearup, and two brothers, Donald and Nelson Ingerson, died previously.
He was born Aug. 7, 1924, in Clayton, a son of Curtis and Beulah Shaw Ingerson. He graduated from Clayton High School.
He married Martha A. Gushlaw Aug. 8, 1945, in Watertown. A native of Clayton, she died March 1, 1983, at the age of 57.
He married Teresa "Dot" Bogenschutz Bearup Oct. 30, 1991, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Philadelphia, with Father Marier officiating.
Mr. Ingerson was employed as a truck driver for many years, having owned his own tractors. He worked for Crowley Foods Inc., LaFargeville, for eight years, and later for Smith Transport, Watertown, for 31 years, retiring in January 1986.
Mr. Ingerson was a communicant of St. Mary's Church, a member of the Clayton Knights of Columbus Council and Teamsters' Union Local 686, Watertown.
Obituary (from newspaper of 15 Oct. 1973): CLAYTON---Mrs. Blanche A. Gushlaw, 75, Clayton, R.D., widow of Arthur H. Gushlaw, died at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Edward John Noble Hospital, Alexandria Bay, where she had been a patient 10 days.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. at the Cummings Funeral Home, Clayton, and at 9 a.m. at St. John's the Evangelist Church, LaFargeville, with Rev. Gilbert Faucher, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery, Town
of Cape Vincent.Friends may call at the funeral home today from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Harold (Martha) Ingerson, with whom she had resided for seven years; a granddaughter, Mrs. David (Lonna) Matthews, Syracuse, and a sister, Mrs. Bernard (Grace) Sweeney, LaFargeville. Another daughter,
Mrs. Morris (Grace) Neuroth, died Nov. 23, 1969, at Clayton.Born Oct. 3, 1898, in the Town of Lyme, a daughter of Clinton and Cora Ingerson Allen, she attended schools at Clayton and attended Oswego Normal School. She was married to Arthur H. Gushlaw Aug. 16, 1919, at Oswego.
Mr. and Mrs. Gushlaw resided in Watertown for a few years after their marriage, later moving to the LaFargeville-Clayton area.
Mr. Gushlaw, a retired farmer and former employe of the Clayton Manufacturing Co., died June 20, 1967, at the age of 68.
Mrs. Gushlaw had worked as an inspector for the Clayton Manufacturing Co., 19 years.
