Obituary from newspaper of 27 Sept. 2002: CLAYTON--Lorenzo A. "Wren" Marshall, 82, formerly of Clayton, died at 11:45 p.m. Friday at Samaritan Keep Home, Watertown, where he had been a resident since March 22, 2001.
Mr. Marshall, a World War II veteran, was a sergeant in the Army Air Corps, 361st Fighter Squadron, from Jan. 17, 1942, to Nov. 16, 1945, serving in the European theater. He received American Defense, Good Conduct, European-African-Middle
Eastern Service and World War II Victory medals.He was a caretaker at Grindstone island and a boat refinisher at G. W. Mercier, Inc. and for Robert Lashomb.
Born Nov. 16, 1919, in Clayton, son of James S. and Marguerite H. Moran Marshall, he was a 1937 graduate of St. Mary's High School. He married Kathleen A. Kane on Nov. 16, 1946, at St. Margaret's Church, Dorchester, Mass. She died Nov.
1, 1974. He married Ida L. Taylor Bazinet on Nov. 19, 1977, at St. Helen's Church, Chasm Falls, with the Rev. Eucid A. Marier officiating.He was a communicant of St. Mary's Church, a member of Knights of Columbus Council 350, where he was a grand knight and past district deputy, and a 57-year member of Colon-Couch American Legion Post 821. He enjoyed refinishing furniture
and was an avid Yankees baseball and Notre Dame football fan.Surviving besides his wife are a daughter, Ann Marie Laymon, Los Angeles, Calif.; two stepsons and their wives, John J. and Mary Bazinet, Fayetteville, and William A. and Suzanne Bazinet, Broomfield, Colo.; a stepdaughter and her husband,
Golda Louise and Peter L. Mellon, Clayton; two sisters, Mrs. Charles (Betty) Cipullo, Clayton, and Anastacia M. "Stacia" Johnson, Buffalo, eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.A son, Kevin B., died July 3, 1967. Five brothers also died before him, William P. on May 19, 1978, Patrick F. on June 4, 1986, John L. on Oct. 6, 1991, Francis L. on Aug. 18, 1996, and James Milton on March 15, 1997. A sister,
Marguerite Mason, also died before him.A prayer service will be at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday at Cummings Funeral Service, with a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Church with the Rev. Christopher C. Carrara, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Calling

Obituary (from newspaper of 1 May 1998): CLAYTON---M. Suzanne Turcotte, 59, of 800 State St. died Thursday at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester. She had been ill with cancer.
Mrs. Turcotte retired as Clayton village clerk and treasurer in September 1996, after holding that position for 11 years.
Born Dec. 5, 1938, in Watertown, the daughter of John J. and Laura E. Patchin Marshall, she attended St. Mary's School and graduated from Clayton High School. She is a graduate of Katherine Gibbs Sercretarial School in New York City. She
graduated from Jefferson Community College, Watertown, with a degree in accounting and took several accounting courses at Clarkson University, Potsdam.She married Joseph M. Turcotte, Sept. 25, 1957, at the Alexandria Bay United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Turcotte has held several positions in the north country including owner and operator of the St. Lawrence Tartan Shop, Clayton.
She was a communicant of St. Mary's Catholic Church, was a former member and past president of St. Mary's Altar and Rosary Society, and was active with Clayton Minor Hockey Association. She was an active volunteer and avid reader.
Surviving besides her husband are two sons, Joseph J., Savannah, Ga. and Andrew I., Cicero; three daughters, Mrs. Dr. Todd S. (Julie E.) Koch, Richmond, Va., Mrs. Craig F. (Beth A.) McGraw, Clayton and Sarah S, O'Day, Long Beach, Calif.; a
brother, Thomas R. Marshall, Clayton, a sister Mrs. Stanley, (Beckey) Innes, Everett, Wash.; four grandchildren and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.A daughter, Jennifer J., died in infancy in 1966.
