Obituary from newspaper of 30 Jan. 1957: Glenn A. Loveland, 67, was found dead at his home, 331 Moulton street, at 6 p.m., Wednesday by his son Eldon D. Loveland. Dr. William W. Hall was called. Mr. Loveland had gone to his room to take a
nap. Dr. Hall stated that he apparently suffered a coronary attack in his sleep.The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Northam and Fox funeral home here with Rev. William A. Wilbur, pastor of the Bethany Methodist church, officiating. Burial will be in the North Watertown cemetery.
Mr. Loveland is survived by his wife, Mrs. Edna M. Loveland; two daughters, Mrs. Rene (Dorothy) Cooper, Calcium, and Miss Betty Loveland, at home; one son, Eldon D. Loveland, at home; five sisters, Mrs. Clarence (Ida) Bates and Mrs.
Charles (Ruth) Gould, both of Depauville, Miss Eulanee Loveland and Mrs. Victor (Grace) Failing, both of Clayton, and Mrs. John (Anna) Meeks, Clayton Center; four brothers, Clarence Loveland, Watertown, Ernest Loveland, Clayton, George
Loveland, Elmira, and Leander Loveland, Brownville and two granddaughters.He was born at Clayton, Dec. 5, 1889, the son of Dunreith M. and Lucy Brabant Loveland. He attended school at Clayton. On June 15, 1914, he married Miss Edna M. Wilson at the house where he died. A carpenter by trade, Mr. Loveland had
worked for several local contracting companies and had worked for the H. H. Babcock company and the J. B. Wise company. He was a member of the Lincoln league and the local Carpenter's union.
Obituary from newspaper of 1 Feb. 1996: BROWNVILLE--Leander A. Loveland, 95, of 201 Rice St., died Wednesday evening at Genesis HealthCare, where he had been a patient since March.
The funeral wil be at 8:30 p.m. Friday at Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter, with the Rev. Howard B. Loveland, Mr. Loveland's son, officiating. Spring burial will be in Brownville Cemetery.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Donations may be made to the Genesis recreation Fund or the Salvation Army.
Surviving are seven daughters, Helen I. Diefendorf, Texas, Mrs. Raymond (Doris L.) Huck, Rochester, Mrs. Howard (Eilene L.) Scott, Cape Vincent, Mrs. Ted (Carol L.) Webb, Greenville, Tenn., Mrs. Robert (Eulanee R.) Mott, Brownville, Mrs.
Dominic (Donna J.) Doldo, Watertown, and Mrs. Steve (Susan J.) Jones, Hendersonville, Tenn.; three sons, Robert L., Brownville, Cecil W., Spokane, Wash., and the Rev. Howard B. Richmond, Ky.; 32 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren and
several nieces and nephews.A daughter, Mary E. Wills, died in March 1995. Eleven brothers and sisters also died before him.
Born Feb. 23, 1900, in Clayton, son of Dunwreath and Lucy Brabant Loveland, he attended Clayton schools. He retired after 44 years of service from New York Central Railroad in 1966 where he was an engineer, fireman, and brakeman.
He married Vera Barrett March 29, 1926, in Brownville. The couple resided in Brownville all of their married lives. Mrs. Loveland died April 23, 1964.
He was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers.
Obituary from newspaper of 29 June 1956: CLAYTON--Donald W. Loveland, 50, a former Clayton resident, died suddenly Sunday at 9:30 a.m., at his home at Delmar. His death was caused by a coronary thrombosis. he had been under treatment for a
heart ailment since April 15.He was recovering and has been able to attend church for the second Sunday since his illness. He and his wife and son, Robert, had returned from mass shortly before he suffered the fatal attack.
Mr. Loveland is survived by his wife, Barbara Mitchell, a daughter, Carol L., three sons, Donal P., who is preparing for the priesthood in the Augustinian order, Robert A. and Bruce. Also, five sisters, Mrs. Clarence (Ida) Bates, Mrs.
John (Anna) Meeks, Mrs. Charles (Ruth) Gould, Mrs. Victor (Grace) Failing, Miss Eulanee Loveland, and five brothers, Clarence and Glenn of Watertown, Leander of Brownville, George of Elmira, and Ernest of Clayton and many nieces and nephews.Mr. Loveland was born April 17, 1906, at Clayton, son of Dunreath M. and Lucy J. Brabant Loveland.
He was graduated from Clayton High School in 1925 and attended Pratt institute at Brooklyn.
September 9, 1933, he married Barbara Margaret Mitchell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Mitchell of West New Brighten, Staten Island. Rev. Father Kelly of the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Stapleton, Staten Island, officiated.
Mr. and Mrs. Loveland made their home on Staten Island until coming to Delmar in 1947.

(Lucy) Swart, St. Petersburg, Fla., where he was spending the winter.Mr. Loveland had been afflicted with a heart condition for the past few years.
The body will be brought to the Cummings funeral home, Clayton.
He is survived by a son, Ernest P. Loveland, jr., stationed with the air force in Japan; five daughters, Mrs. Donald J. (Mary Elizabeth) Natali and Mrs. Truman (Margaret) Moore; both of Clayton, Mrs. Howard (Rita) Good, and Mrs. Swart,
both of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Mrs. Roy (Catherine) Cupernall, Hagerstown, Md.; and several grandchildren.Mr. Loveland was born in Clayton, Oct. 3, 1891, the son of Dunreath and Lucy Brabant Loveland. He was educated in Clayton schools. He sailed the Great Lakes for a number of years and served in the navy during World War I.
He married Bertha Sullivan June 24, 1919, in St. Mary's church, Clayton, with Rev. W. J. LaRocque, officiating. She died in St. Petersburg, Fla., in December, 1955, while spending the winter there.
Mr. Loveland had been employed for 27 years by the Frink Sno-Plow company. He retired in 1955 and since then had spent winters in St. Petersburg.
Obituary (from Watertown Daily Times of 13 Sep. 1979): CLAYTON---Mrs. Grace B. Failing, 70, of 513 1/2 Alexander St., widow of Victor Failing, died at 1 p.m. Wednesday at her home.

A son, Richard, died Aug. 4, 1963, and five sisters and four brothers died before her.
Born July 25, 1909, in Clayton, a daughter of Dunreath and Lucy Brabant Loveland, she attended Clayton schools and married Victor Failing, June 25, 1937, at St. Mary's Church.
Mr. Failing, a retired Frink Sno-Plow employe, died July 13, 1965 at the age of 55.
She was employed 20 years by the Clayton Manufacturing Co., and seven years as a housekeeper for Rev. John Wiley, Keeseville, at Norwood.
She was a member of St. Ann's Altar and Rosary Society and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Clayton.
