Obituary (from Watertown Daily Times of 18 Dec. 1994): CLAYTON---A private funeral for Rebecca "Ruby" Grandee, 90, formerly of 713 Alexandria St., will be this afternoon at the T.R. Jetty Funeral Home with the Rev. James Jandrow of th Agape
Outreach Ministry officiating. Burial will be in Clayton Cemetery in the spring.Mrs. Grandee died Friday morning at Samaritan-Keep Nursing Home, Watertown, where she had been a resident since January 1988.
Donations may be made to the Clayton Vounteer Ambulance Fund.
Surviving are a son, Arthur, Clayton; a daughter, Mrs. Ronald (Robertha) Crowther, Valley Falls; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
A son, Ivan Sheffield, died in January 1986 in Sheboygan, Wis.
Born May 11, 1904, in Glasgow, Scotland, one of nine children of Thomas and Esther McLean Dorman, she married Clarence G. Grandee Nov. 25, 1939, in the First Methodist Church, Rochester. She had been married previously.
She lived in Clayton most of her married life and was a housewife.
Mr. Grandee was a marine mechanic at Mercier's Shipyard for more than 25 years and was also a machinist at Frink Sno-Plow. He died Feb. 28, 1971.
Mrs. Grandee was a former member of the First Baptist Church of the Thousand Islands.
