Obituary (from newspaper of 2 July 1971): CLAYTON---Mrs. Flora E. Hall Dodge, 92, widow of John F. Dodge, died Thursday noon in the Jefferson County Extended Care Facilities, Watertown, where she had been a patient since November after being a
patient in the House of the Good Samaritan, Watertown, six months.The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Cummings Funeral Home, Rev. George R. Lindsay, pastor, Old Stone Church, Depauville, officiating. Burial will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 9 and Saturday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Lyle R. (Olah) Hartman, Chaumont, R.D. 1, with whom she had lived; two sons, Burton C., Clayton, R.D., Harley E., St. Petersburg, Fla.; nine grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and a
great-great-grandchild.A son, H. Kent, died in July, 1952, after a train accident in Rochester.
Born April 2, 1879, at Sulphur Springs, Town of Hounsfield, daughter of Solomon and Julia Ives Hall, she attended rural schools and was married to John F. Dodge Sept. 21, 1898, in the Town of Hounsfield.
Mr. Dodge was a milk distributor in Watertown until 1907, when the couple moved to the Clayton vicinity, where he was employed with Frink Sno-Plows, Inc. Mr. Dodge died in December, 1962.
Mrs. Dodge was a past member of the Depauville Rebekah Lodge.
Obituary (from Watertown Daily Times of Monday, 6 Nov. 1978): SACKETS HARBOR---Mrs. Maude Jackson Dodge, 92, of 1540 Center St., Arkadelphia, Ark., formerly of Sackets Harbor, died Saturday in Clark County Memorial Hospital, Arkadelphia, after
a long illness.The funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Cleveland-Spink Funeral Home here, with Rev. Ellison Elmer, assistant pastor of First Presbyterian Church, Watertown, officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Hawley D. (Evelyn) McAnulty, Arkadelphia, Ark., with whom she had lived, and Mrs. Margaret Lutze, Otisville, Mich.; a son, Carl L., Wilmington, Del.; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; a
great-great-grandson, and a sister, Mrs. Gladys Austin, Calcium. A daughter, Mrs. Earl (Pauline) Signor, died earlier.Mrs. Dodge was born in Dexter, Oct. 30, 1886, daughter of John and Ella Moffat Jackson. She was married to Ward A. Dodge on July 3, 1904, at the home of her parents by Rev. R. Cressey, pastor of the Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Dodge died in 1958 at age 74.
