Obituary: COPENHAGEN, June 21---Francis E. Dodge, 62, retired mail carrier, died Wednesday night at 10:45 at the House of the Good Samaritan, Watertown, where he had been a patient two weeks. He had suffered from a heart condition since last
October.The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Cleveland Funeral Home, Watertown, and at 2:30 p.m. at the Middle Road Congregational Church, Rutland, with Rev. Thomas W. Wright, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in North Watertown
Cemetery. Friends may call this evening at the funeral home from 7 to 9 and Friday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.There will be a Masonic service at the Masonic temple, Watertown, Friday evening.
Mr. Dodge is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ruth Dodge, and his mother, Mrs. Ella Dodge of Rutland.
Mr. Dodge was born in the Town of Rutland June 10, 1900, son of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene T. Dodge. He married Ruth Planck Oct. 12, 1921, at the Middle Road Church.
He was a mail carrier in Watertown for 35 years until his retirement on July 1, 1957. He was a member of the Watertown Lodge 49, F. & A.M., the Copenhagen Odd Fellows Lodge, and the Middle Road Congregational Church at Rutland.
