Clifford A. INGERSON

Obituary (from newspaper of 7 May 1969):  ALEXANDRIA BAY---Clifford A. Ingerson, 68, retired maintenance man at the National Bank, Watertown, died this morning in the Edward John Noble Hospital, where he had been a patient two months.  He had
been in ill health five years.

    Funeral arrangements are with the Giltz Funeral Home.

    Surviving are three sons, Richard and James, both of Camillus, and T. Sgt. Allen Ingerson, stationed with the Air Force in England, en route home; three daughters, Mrs. Earl (Lila) Side, Evans Mills, Mrs. Charles (Isabelle) Fran, Dingman
Point, and Mrs. Charles (Donna) Hiesholzer, Morristown; four sisters, Mrs. Robb (Leta) House, Clayton, Mrs. Emma Fitchette and Mrs. Erma Brigham, both of Depauville, and Ruth, New Jersey; 24 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

    Mr. Ingerson was born in Clayton Sept. 8, 1900, a son of Fred and Melinda Slate Ingerson.  He married the former Vera Barns of Pennsylvania in 1924 in Rochester.  She died in 1946.  The couple lived in Watertown and Clayton and Mr.
Ingerson was employed at the New York Air Brake Co. for years.  Later he worked in the maintenance department of the Watertown National Bank, retiring 16 years ago.  He lived five years with his sons in Camillus and several years with his
daughter, Mrs. Fran.


Eric C. INGERSON

Obituary (from Watertown Daily Times of 27 July 1994):  EVANS MILLS---The funeral for Eric C. Ingerson, 78, Route 2, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the T.R. Jetty Funeral Home, Clayton, with the Rev. Larry Cronk, pastor of the Rutland
Congregational Church, officiating.  Burial will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery, Cape Vincent.

    Mr. Ingerson died Monday night at his home, where he had been under the care of Hospice of Jefferson County.

    Calling hours are from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.  Donations may be made to Hospice of Jefferson County.

    Surviving are his wife, Ilienia; a stepson, Wayne Eamer, Evans Mills; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, John Ingerson, Clayton; two sisters, Mrs. Robert (Aleta) House, Clayton, and Mrs. Eugene (Emma) Fitchette,
LaFargeville, and nieces and nephews.

    A son, James, died in 1988.

    Born July 8, 1916, in the town of Clayton, a son of Fred and Melinda Slate Ingerson, he attended rural schools.

    He married Ilienia Hogan in 1941 in Jordan.

    Mr. Ingerson retired in 1981 after 29 years as a machinist for Knowlton Brothers, Watertown.

    He was a member of the papermakers union.


Ilienia HOGAN

Obituary (from newspaper of Sunday, 2 March 1997):  EVANS MILLS---Ilienia M. Ingerson, 76, LaShaw Road, died Friday evening at Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown.

    Mrs. Ingerson lived most of her life in Evans Mills.  In her younger years, she was a waitress in Massena, and later worked at North Star Restaurant, Court Street, Watertown.

    Born Feb. 19, 1921, in Clayton, daughter of John and Pearl Snell Hogan, she attended schools at Alexandria Bay.

    She married Eric Ingerson in 1941 in Jordan.  Mr. Ingerson died July 25, 1994.  She had been married previously to William P. Eamer.

    Mrs. Ingerson was a member of the Dexter American Legion Auxiliary.

    Surviving are a son, Wayne F. Eamer, Evans Mills; three sisters, Mrs. Harold (Shirley) Doney, Clayton, Mrs. William (Muriel) Palmer, Evans Mills, and Evelyn Crump, Dexter; a brother, Keith Hogan, Florida; and several grandchildren and
great-grandchildren.

    A son, James Ingerson, died Nov. 14, 1988.

    The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at T.R. Jetty Funeral Home, Clayton, with the Rev. Mark Pierce, pastor of Lake and River Parish, Three Mile Bay, officiating.  Burial will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery, town of Cape Vincent.

    Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
