Obituary: E. Glenn Buskirk, 75, of 736 Cooper St., died Friday afternoon at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Dr. and Mrs. Joseph Cannella, Stamford, Conn., where he had been visiting for the Easter holiday.
The funeral is tentatively set for Tuesday morning at Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Helen) Cannella; a brother, Carlton, Brewerton; a sister, Mrs. Korleen Byam, Chaumont; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Born Aug. 12, 1909 in Clayton, a son of Emmett and Emma Johnson Buskirk, he spent his early life on Pillar Point and attended Dexter schools.
He married Geraldine Roubie on Aug. 12, 1933 at Holy Family Church. The couple spent their lives in Watertown. Mrs. Buskirk, a nurse, died Oct. 11, 1963.
Mr. Buskirk, a New York Air Brake machinist, retired in 1974.
A musician, he had played in local bands.
He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and a member of its Holy Name Society and the Watertown Musician's Association Local 734. In 1965, he was named Man of the Year by the Holy Name Society.

Cannella, 215 South Massey St. She had been seriously ill since mid-July, and had been at the Cannella home since then.The body will be taken to the family home on Cooper St. from the Johnson funeral home, Dexter, late this afternoon. Friends may call at the residence this evening and Sunday afternoon and evening.
The funeral will be Monday at 9:30 a.m. at the family home and at 10 in the Church of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
The family has asked that memorial contributions be to the American Cancer Society.
Surviving Mrs. Buskirk, besides her husband, an employee of the New York Air Brake Company are a daughter, Mrs. Joseph M. (Helen) Cannella, and six grandchildren.
Mrs. Buskirk was born Jan. 8, 1911, in Glen Park, a daughter of Joseph and Grace McVee Roubie. When she was very young, the family moved to Watertown and then lived briefly in Gary, Ind., before returning to Watertown, where she attended
school. Mrs. Buskirk was graduated from Watertown High School in January, 1929, and from the House of the Good Samaritan school of nursing in October, 1931.She did private duty nursing until 1939, when she became office nurse for the late Dr. Walter Fox Smith. She was next in the office of the late Dr. John M. Rice, until his death in 1954. She was in the office of Dr. Erwin K. Stone from
1955 until a year ago when she was forced to leave because of her illness.On Aug. 12, 1933, she was married to E. Glenn Buskirk in Holy Family Church by Rev. James Fix, then assistant pastor.
Mrs. Buskirk was a member of the Church of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart and the Altar and Rosary Society.
