Howard A. LINGENFELTER Dr.

Obituary:  News has reached relatives here of the death in Kansas City, Mo., of Dr. Howard A. Lingenfelter of Durango, Colorado.  Dr. and Mrs. Lingenfelter passed this summer in Clayton with his step-mother, Mrs. Fannie Lingenfelter, in as
effort to regain his health and returned to his home in Colarado much improved.

    Dr. Lingenfelter was born in the town of Clayton about 1878 the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lingenfelter.  After his graduation as a physician he located on Lexington ave., New York city, later moving to Durango, Col., where he has been
city and county physician for the past 30 years.  He was twice married, his first wife, Elisabeth dying several years ago, and he later married Mrs. Jeanette Conlin of Durango.  He was a  past master of Durango lodge, F. & A. M. and active in
Chapter, Council Commandery Consistory and Shrine work.  He was one of Colorado's leading Masons and was one of the best posted men on Masonry in the state.

    He was a member of Electra Lake Sporting club and an ardent devotee of fly fishing.

    His funeral was held in Elizabeth, N.J., at the home of his half brother, Don C. Lingenfelter.  Burial was made in Woodlawn Cemetery, New York city.

    He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Jeanette Lingenfelter, a step daughter, Miss Mary Jane Conlin of Kansas City, a step-mother, Mrs. Frances Lingenfelter of Clayton, a half-sister, Hazel B. Lingenfelter of Forrest Hills, New York city, two
half brothers, S. A. Lingenfelter of New Brunswick, N.J., and Don C. of Elizabeth, N.J.
