Mary J. LINGENFELTER

1  CMNT Cem Rec. says she d. 19 May 1884

Obituary:  Mrs. Jay Morse, second daughter of Wm. H. Lingenfelter, died at her home in Birch Run, Mich., May 22, 1884, from the effects of three cancers.  She married Wm. H. Henry for her first husband, who died of consumption in 1868, by whom
she had two children, all of whom died within thirteen months.  She afterward married Jay Morse for her second husband, who now survives her.  Her remains were brought to Clayton on the eleven o'clock train Monday a.m.  A large circle of
friends followed her remains to the train at Birch run.  She was respected and loved by all who knew her.  She leaves a husband and five children to mourn her loss.  Her age was 33 years 2 months and 20 days.  A large procession of friends and
relatives met at the depot and accompanied her remains to the Clayton cemetery, and then proceeded to her father's residence where a very appropriate and effective sermon was delivered by Rev. D. F. Pierce of the M.E. Church, Clayton.

Blest hour when righteous souls shall meet,

Shall meet to part no more,

        And with celestial welcome greet

    On an immortal shore.

Each tender tie dissolved with pain,

    With endless bliss is crowned.

All that was dead revives again,

All that was lost is found.
