Obituary (from newspaper of Tuesday, 10 Jan. 1989): CLAYTON---Anna L. Marshall, 96, Rochester, a native and former resident of Clayton, died Monday evening at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, where she had been admitted earlier that day.
A prayer service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Cummings Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of the Resurrection at 11 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, with Msgr. Herbert J. Hannan, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's
Cemetery.Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the Clayton Volunteer Amulance Fund.
Surviving are two sons, Paul E., Clayton, and James L., Rochester; two daughters, Mrs. Walter (Doris) Kendall, Clayton, and Mrs. Joseph (Marjorie) DeMino, West Henrietta; 22 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; two
great-great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.A daughter, Mrs. Catherine Girard, two brothers, Paul and Edward Mulcahy, and two sisters, Mary Bartlett and Theresa Shedenbrand, died before her.
Born in Clayton on Sept. 5, 1892, a daughter of Michael and Catherine Marshall Mulcahy, she was educated in Clayton schools and was a graduate of the Clayton Normal School.
She married James W. Marshall Aug. 11, 1914, in the rectory of St. Mary's Church. Mr. Marshall, a well-known river guide on the St. Lawrence River and a machinist at Frink Sno-Plow of Clayton, died June 23, 1957. He was 64.
Mrs. Marshall was a school teacher for a short time and a housewife for many years.
She was a former communicant of St. Mary's Church, and a former member of the St. Anne's Society and Clayton Knights of Columbus Auxiliary.
