The purpose of the Grindstone Island Research & Heritage Center (GIRHC) is to preserve the history, culture and family heritage of Grindstone Island.

The GIRHC is dependent on the support of our members and friends. The organization’s programs, projects, research, materials, supplies and salaries are maintained by membership support.

The volunteer Board of Directors would like to thank the community for its patronage, and contributions that keep the GIRHC operational as well maintaining the Red Schoolhouse for summer programs.  Your membership helps us to preserve the culture and heritage of the island. You can help by becoming a member (or renewing your current membership), making a donation, contributing to the scholarship fund or by doing all three!
